I am the Library/Media Specialist at Merrill Middle School. The library is located on the second floor above the main entrance and office and is open from 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. each day.

6th grade Library Skills classes

Each 9-week library skills class will cover the following topics: finding book titles in the online catalog and finding the book on the shelf, accessing and using the online databases provided by the district, accessing and using print reference books (encyclopedias, dictionaries, atlases, and almanacs), and writing a bibliography page.  Because of the nature of the class, there will be no assigned homework.  However, students who have computers at home are urged to practice using the databases and web sites that are introduced in class.
