6th Grade MusicEvery 9 weeks, a new group of 6th graders participate in Vocal Music. They will be learning vocal production skills, performance techniques, music appreciation, and many types of musical concepts. An opera / musical unit is also a part of 6th grade choir. Class requirements: All 6th grade students are required to provide a 90 minute cassette tape or 80 minute recordable CD for music class. This class will have the songs that are in the repertoire for that quarter's concert. Your child will be able to practice at home, increasing their knowledge of the songs, vocal production, and helping them memorize the words for the performance. If you have any questions, or difficulties obtaining a tape, please contact me at 720-424-0662. We have lots of new experiences to share - learning how to read choral music, learning how to use good vocal production. We'll be doing a concert at the end of the quarter and we have lots of rehearsals to get us in tip-top shape. We plan to share a few of our activities with you! Return to: Vocal Music Notes!
