Eight Grade Course Outline

1. COURSE DESCRIPTION Eight Grade Art is an 18 week class. Students will apply general and advanced Drawing and painting fundamentals, along with basic ceramics concepts. Projects will focus on individuality and creativity while working on a larger scale. Students will also be applying pertinent vocabulary to each project.

2. GRADES

Grades will be based on the following:
1.Class work
2. Homework
3. Classroom conduct and work habits

3. MATERIALS

Students should bring a pencil and their sketchpad to class daily.

4. SUPPLEMENTARY TEXTS

Southwest Art, School Arts, Arts And Activities plus various HOW TO drawing books.

5. ART ROOM RULES

* Be respectful towards others.
* Be respectful towards the teacher.
* Respect your own and other students work.
* Keep your work area clean.
* Take care of all art materials.
* Be on time to class.
* No gum or food allowed in class.
