In class we will be reading Briar Rose by Jane Yolen as a primary text for our fairy tale unit. Students will be reading individual fairy tales and critiquing them.

Both in and out of class students should prepare a final research paper. Topic : What four problems/ issues do you think are the most potentially dangerous in our world? What can you do to minimize the danger and how will you prepare yourself for the future?

Students should have four sources and a bibliography. The paper length is to be three to four pages not including the title page and bibliography. This paper is due on May 4. AN outline is due April 20 and a rough draft April 27.
